Thunderbolt - Scourge of the Ranges
THUNDERBOLT-BOOK.jpg
“For nearly a century and a half, Australians have been sitting on a story far bigger than Ned Kelly – without even knowing it. Their minders kept a tight lid on it and for very good reason!” Welcome to the latest explosive book called Thunderbolt written by G.James (Greg) Hamilton.
Thunderbolt - Scourge of the Ranges is a must read for one and all. Thunderbolt's never before told tale as written by Hamilton and Thunderbolt descendant Barry Sinclair, makes one question the very core of what we have taken as history for decades.
Go to our rare yarns section for more on Captain Thunderbolt.

About the Authors - Geraldine Yabsley is the seventh child of Winnie and Jack Dunn, is also the granddaughter of Bill Haydon. Born and raised in Kempsey on the NSW Mid North Coast, Geraldine went on to follow in her father’s footsteps in the mobile crane business. Her love of family history took Geraldine on a journey of discovery. Realizing that the old stories were disappearing, Geraldine set about to record as many as she could before they became lost forever. After hearing some stories about her grandfather that upset her and her family, she set about to record his life as actually as possible within the constraints of time. This book is a result of her passion for her grandfather and his work, and for the people that lived and worked on the Carrai Plateau, this is their story.

Kathleen Davies was born and raised in Londonderry in 1963, in the Hawkesbury Valley, west of Sydney. She has been a writer and artist all her life, and the mysteries of this wonderful country have fascinated her. Why and how people and wildlife can just disappear without a trace – it is a question that drives her to look further than just the obvious. Kathleen has worked in the area where Geraldine’s grandfather disappeared and was keen to help uncover details about that disappearance and the events that occurred at the time. She helped put together stories and images for publication in local media and helped keep the story alive in the public arena in an effort to entice more stories from people who knew Bill Haydon. Meeting Geraldine and learning of the story of Bill Haydon has led the two women on a journey of discovery.
